I haven’t had the most traditional path into UX Design. Right out of college, I was a bilingual teacher in an elementary school. After that, I became a music producer and DJ. Most recently, I’ve been helping people solve problems with their technology at both Apple & Pinterest. These wonderfully different, yet fulfilling experiences helped shape the designer I am today.

I can’t tell you how many times I heard someone say about technology, “I’m just no good at this stuff.” Hearing frustration like this is my kryptonite and it motivates me to do what I can to help. Since learning about UX design as a profession, I have been laser-focused to make that my career. Discovering I could use technology and design to create great experiences is the culmination of everything I have done so far.

No matter the task, people have always been at the center of what I do. As a designer, I love to solve problems. Whether it’s for my students, patrons, or customers—I strive to make the complicated seem easy. My ultimate goal in UX design is to find ways to design products that are intuitive, simple, and fun to use.

In my spare time, I like to cook tasty meals, mix cocktails for my wife, hang out with my dog Zeus, and indulge in the nostalgia of my retro video game collection.
